PROGRAM

New England Pastoral Institute, Inc. is dedicated to providing services to those in need. The Institute serves as a bridge between resources of spirituality and psychotherapy and between those who are suffering and those who seek to comfort. The Staff of the Institute strives to proclaim the realities of hope, wholeness, reconciliation, and well-being. The Institute's many programs and services are ministries of healing to persons

- burdened by conflict in relationship with self, others, and God
- lost in thechaos of finding meaning and purpose in life
- confused in seeking competent, ethical professional consultation.

The New England Pastoral Institute is the area's only interdenominational, not-for-profit, and community based pastoral counseling center. The Institute, its professional staff, and its programs and services extend the ministries of local parishes and congregations. The pastoral psychotherapists are uniquely trained, skilled, and experienced in assisting churches with

- education to inform and enrich
- evaluation to discern and direct
- consultation to resource and renew
- supervision to support and guide
- psychotherapy to heal and restore

Congregational Affiliation

Churches in partnership with the Institute through its Congregational Affiliate Program receive

- individual, marital, relational, family, and group counseling with certified, licensed professionals
- free initial consultation for members referred by congregational staff
- free phone consultation to congregational staff who are working with a member who is in crisis
- free phone consultation to congregational staff who are perplexed by complex issues in members' lives, with staff, or the life of the congregation
- pulpit supply program
- a variety of educational programs, seminars and workshops, on personal growth, relational issues, family dynamics, faith and community development issues at the Affiliate's site
- resources for clergy and their families
- priority when requesting programs or services

- the semi-annual newsletter as well as copies of all other publications of the Institute
- voice on the Advisory Council of New England Pastoral Institute
- reduced fees for workshops and seminars offered at the Affiliate's site.

Membership

Affiliate Churches pay an annual membership fee to New England Pastoral Institute which is calculated as follows:
- 150 or more members - $365.00
- less than 150 members - $2.00 per member

By participating in the Congregational Affiliate Program, member churches integrate professional counseling and consulting services into their local ministries. Affiliate members by-pass the financial, legal, and professional expenditures required to establish and maintain these resources on their own. New England Pastoral Institute encourages and extends the Affiliate Church's mission outreach and ministry.
